Founder – Athletes Against Anxiety and Depression
In November of 2016 China McCarney launched a Social Media Campaign to raise awareness and funds for Anxiety and Depression. Over those 30 days he was so inspired by the support and all of the people reaching out that he knew he had to do something more. The Athletes Against Anxiety and Depression Foundation was born!
This year we are once again challenging everyone to get involved with us in November, and beyond, to #BeTheChange and to raise funds and awareness for Mental Health!
Here is how to get involved:
The #100MileNovember challenge is a challenge to run, walk, bike, etc. a total of 100 Miles in November to raise awareness and funds for Anxiety and Depression. We ask that you post your progress periodically on Social Media with the #100MileNovember and challenge your tribe to get involved and donate at aaadf.org/donate
You can also share a story or paragraph with your posts saying how Anxiety and/or Depression has impacted your life. There is no right or wrong way to get involved, just take action and #BeTheChange
A self-explanatory way to get involved for the guys out there in the November campaign. Let those beards or mustaches grow all of November and post pictures of those beautiful hairy faces. With those posts share a perspective about mental health and challenge your community to donate funds at aaadf.org/donate
Teal Theme November
Teal is the official Anxiety Awareness color and you can post a picture of an article of clothing, an item, or anything teal with your perspective about mental health and how it has effected your life. Post with the #AAAD and bring awareness to your community and challenge them to raise funds for Anxiety and Depression and donate at aaadf.org/donate
Again, there is no right or wrong way to get involved. Help us raise awareness and funds to create resources all year long for anyone suffering from Anxiety and/or Depression. Thank you ALL and let’s BE THE CHANGE together!
